From Front Door Across Foyer

On entering the front door and looking diagonally across, one sees part of the quartersawn oak-paneled foyer. That paneling is Victorian, c.1890, and it wraps around the room. In the far corner is a Gothic oak church door, c.1760, that now conceals our coat-closet, with our French carved oak Gothic lamp, 'Pierre'. above it. To the left of the pic can just be seen the bottom newel post of the main stairway, another Victorian extravaganza.
